It's the month of Christmas! Just think how great it is to celebrate Christmas. A lot of people get together with their family and friends. The laughter; the sound of carols being played; the yummy food we consume and drinks. Presents are passed around; people who often aren't cheery, suddenly becoming joyous, with the Holy Spirit moving through them, as they think of Christmas and what it means to them. As you do get together, remember those that aren't as fortunate as you, and include them in your prayers.
I thank our Father, for allowing us to be able to praise Him and celebrate, for giving us a beautiful baby boy, named Jesus. Let us keep our hearts and eyes on Him over this time of year. After all, without the birth of Jesus, we wouldn't even have Christmas! We also say 'Happy Birthday!' to Him, because that is the tradition we have continued today, after 2007 years!
Thank you Lord for such a gift! We couldn't ask for more! But, God did give us more! Through Christ's life and eventual death and resurrection, to then become our redeemer and Saviour! Wow!! An even more extraordinary gift! Don't you think He deserves all the praise?!
"We know also that the Son of God has come and given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true. And we are in him who is true–even in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life." ( NIV)
May our God bless you and keep you all safe over this time of year, and bring you good health into the new year.
Look forward to seeing you all next year!
